I was raised in Squaw Valley, a small town in the central valley of California. I dreamed of becoming a doctor from a young age, so I decided to get a head start and began college when I was 15 years old. I made the voyage down to the Caribbean to start medical school and take the first steps on my path to becoming an MD.

Being outside of the country, I learned a lot about the rest of the world. Experiencing the life and culture outside of my own made me aware of the underserved population and sparked an interest in international medicine.

Family is extremely important to me; growing up with six sisters and a brother, I’ve learned the significance of being around people I can rely on. I enjoy spending as much time as possible with family and friends — especially my adorable nephew and sweet little nieces! I also like horseback riding, running and playing golf; things I hope to do more of in Phoenix!
