Chris Bird

Chris Bird currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Phoenix Baptist Hospital and Arizona Heart Hospital.  

Bird was previously the Chief Executive Officer of ReachOut Healthcare America, a national provider of administrative support services to  dentists in the mobile dental industry with operations in 24 states, from 2008 to 2011.   

Prior to joining ReachOut Healthcare,   Bird served as the President of RehabCare, a contract therapy services company in the U.S. with $1.3B in annual revenue and over 20,000 employees in over 2,000 hospital and skilled-nursing facility sites spanning 46 states.  

Bird was a member of Kindred Healthcare’s Executive Committee.

 Previously, Bird was Vice President of Operations, Outpatient Services Division with Tenet Healthcare. At Tenet, Bird was responsible for forming and running a dedicated company-wide outpatient division comprised of over 50 free-standing Ambulatory Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging Centers. Prior to Tenet, Bird served as was the Western Division Vice President for DaVita, an end-stage renal disease management company.  Bird had P&L responsibility for a $200M multi-site division with over 2,000 employees encompassing all dialysis centers, peritoneal and acute hospital programs in Southern California,Arizona and Utah.

 

Bird spent the early part of his career in healthcare consulting roles with Deloitte Consulting,

A.T. Kearney, KPMG, and West Hudson & Company.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, an MPH with a Health Policy and Management concentration from Columbia University, and an MBA from Harvard University.
