Frank Molinaro
Frank Molinaro, FACHE, joined Abrazo Health Care as Chief Executive Officer of Arrowhead Hospital in June 2011. Molinaro has been in the Vanguard Health System, now Tenet Healthcare, for more than 10 years. Prior to his arrival at Arrowhead, he spent seven years at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, serving as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
During his tenure at Arrowhead, Molinaro has been instrumental in the transition to a “Culture of Safety” at the Hospital. With the introduction of a daily Safety Huddle and an organizational focus on Safety, Quality and Voice of the Customer, Arrowhead is distinguishing itself as a trusted leader in patient-centered healthcare.
Molinaro has also been a leading force in the introduction and adoption of the LEAN philosophy at both the hospital and system level. By initiating LEAN daily management and education, Kaizen events and strategy deployment, Arrowhead has achieved the following distinctions:
- The Leapfrog Group grade “A” safety rating two years in a row
- Named as one of the safest hospitals in a 2103 Consumer Reports article
- Tenet Circle of Excellence Award, 2014
- Truven Health Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals, 2014
- Joint Commission Top Performer Award, 2014
- Southwest Alliance for Excellence Pioneer Award, 2014 (State Baldrige Award).
He is an inspirational leader who has the vision to empower his staff and embrace new, transformational ideas that truly drive change, improvement and growth.
He was selected to serve on Tenet CEO Advisory Council for 2014. He has been a board member for the Western Maricopa Coalition since 2011, a board member for the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce since 2012 and is a volunteer Baldrige Examiner for Southwest Alliance for Excellence since 2013.
Molinaro earned a master’s degree in business administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from West Liberty State College.
