Dr. Meena Subramanian is a born and raised Texan. She attended University of Missouri-Kansas City for both undergraduate studies as well as medical school, in a combined, accelerated BA-MD program. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at University of Nevada-Las Vegas and stayed on as clinical faculty for a few years. Meena’s interest in academics started with joining her medical school’s EM interest group, and she will be bringing her passion for education and teaching to her role as Medical Student Clerkship Director. She has enjoyed taking part in event medicine and has provided medical care during Burning Man, Electric Daisy Carnival, and a children’s summer camp. She loves traveling, outdoor activities, and competing in dog sports with her pup, Brady.
