Although I was born in South Korea, my family has lived in southern California since I was in kindergarten. I have always been curious about the world and the people in it; so as an undergraduate, I studied international relations with a focus on the integration of immigrant communities. Upon graduation, I worked as an International Trade Specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce. While that was a fulfilling and exciting job, I wanted to interact with people from all walks of life and be more directly involved in helping them. After volunteering in a variety of different industries, I determined that a career in medicine was the best fit and completed medical school at Western University of Health Sciences.

As a family medicine resident, I feel privileged to collaborate with patients and address their medical and social issues through each stage of their lives. I am excited to join the Abrazo family of supportive faculty, colleagues and staff on my journey to become a skilled and compassionate physician-advocate who is capable of assisting patients in any setting, anywhere in the world.

I have lived in Europe, Asia, and the east coast and am looking forward to exploring Arizona. My favorite activities include gardening, biking, rock climbing, swimming, reading mysteries and spending time with my family and friends – especially my dogs.
