I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. After earning my undergraduate degree at University of Puerto Rico I moved to Mexico to study medicine at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. During my time there I did volunteer work to bring health care to rural areas around Guadalajara. This experience helped me realize my interest in rural and underserved populations.
After completing two years in Guadalajara I wanted to gain experience in the U.S. so I moved to Phoenix to do my clinical years. During this time I was able to rotate at Abrazo Central Hospital and I absolutely loved the hospital and the people that worked there so I am very excited to start my career here at Abrazo.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy hiking, camping, and other activities that help me stay active and outdoors. I also like to travel and spend time with family and friends.
