Abrazo Central Campus is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Abrazo West Campus is a Primary Plus Stroke Center. Both hospitals offer treatment options for complex cases including thrombectomy, a specialized surgical procedure used to remove a blood clot
from the brain during an ischemic stroke.
Abrazo Arrowhead Campus and Abrazo Scottsdale Campus are Primary Stroke Centers.
Stroke care provided at these four Abrazo hospitals has been recognized with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines awards for quickly administering the clot-buster tissue plasminogen activator, or tPA.
The Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Program at Abrazo Central Campus helps patients regain strength, mobility and independence after stroke or other conditions. It is accredited
by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
